See What Your Nervous System Is Telling Us

What Are INSiGHT Scans?

INSiGHT scans are non-invasive tools we use to measure different aspects of nervous system function. They give us objective information that we can use alongside your health history, exam, and goals to better understand how your nervous system is functioning and adapting.

No needles. No radiation. Just information that helps us see a bigger picture.

01 — NeuroThermal Scan

Healthcare services imageThe NeuroThermal Scan measures temperature patterns along the spine, which gives us information about autonomic nervous system function and regulation.

Your autonomic nervous system helps coordinate many of the things your body does automatically—like digestion, sleep, immune responses, and other internal functions. That's why this scan can be especially helpful when we're looking at the bigger picture for babies and kids experiencing things like colic, reflux, constipation, recurring ear infections, sleep struggles, or other signs that their system may be having difficulty regulating.

It helps us identify patterns and areas of stress that we can then consider alongside your child's history, exam, and other scans.

02 — NeuroSpinal sEMG Scan

Healthcare services imageThe NeuroSpinal sEMG Scan measures muscle activity and patterns along the spine, giving us a window into how the nervous system is controlling and coordinating the muscles that support posture and movement.

We're looking at things like overall energy, patterns, balance, and symmetry. For kids, this information can be especially useful when we're evaluating the bigger picture around motor development, coordination, posture, sensory regulation, focus, sleep, and behavior.

Rather than simply asking where the body feels tight, this scan gives us objective data showing where abnormal muscle-activity patterns may be occurring.

03 — Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

Healthcare services imageHRV looks at the tiny variations in time between heartbeats. Those variations give us information about the balance and adaptability of the autonomic nervous system.

In simple terms, we're asking: How well can your nervous system shift gears?

Can it respond to stress when needed—and then settle back down? Or does the data suggest a system having more difficulty adapting?

This can be especially valuable when we're looking at the bigger picture for kids and adults dealing with things like sleep challenges, difficulty settling, low energy, emotional regulation, or feeling constantly “wound up.”

The Bigger Picture

No single scan tells the whole story. Your INSiGHT scans are considered alongside your health history, goals, exam findings, and what your doctor learns throughout your visit.

Together, they help us build a clearer picture of how your nervous system is functioning, adapting, and responding to stress.

And because we can repeat these scans throughout care, we can objectively track changes over time—not just rely on how you happen to feel that day.
